CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Sunday, march 29, 2020
Zoom service at 10am

We are under executive orders from Governor Pritzker to “shelter-in-place.” That means we need to "stay at home" as much as possible, beginning Saturday evening (at 5pm) until Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

To gather on Sunday with our full congregation would be to defy our authorities. The Bible calls us to submit to our government (Romans 13). So, our worship service on Sunday morning is canceled.

This does not change the diagnosis on the Coronavirus. One hundred percent of the world is still under God’s control.

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4)

We are still meeting online. If you would like to join us, email us at office@rvbc.cc.

The reason for the extreme caution everywhere around us is an effort to “flatten the curve” of spreading the virus. The following diagram helps to explain.
